There are still lots of lizards, grasshoppers, spiders, and butterflies to be seen. I even spot an occasional dragonfly. One of the lizards was what my reptile book refers to as a “garden fence lizard”. They are a bit bigger and often “show off” by turning their upper bodies red. The grasshoppers are the easiest to photograph because they keep still and rely on their camouflage.
